Conditions of Eligibility for JNV Admission :
- The only candidates who may apply for admission are those who are legitimate residents of the district in which the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is situated.
- The provisionally selected candidate must present valid residency proof at the time of admission, as mandated by the Government of India.
- The applicant must a resident of the district where the JNV, which is also located in that district, is being considered for admission.
- Following the provisional selection, the parent’s bona fide residence certificate must turned in for document verification.
- Repeated candidates or those who passed class V prior to the session in which they applied for the selection test are not permitted.
- An applicant must between the ages of 10 and 12 in order to admitted. All candidates, including those from Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes (SCs and STs), are eligible for this. Upon admittance, the candidate who was provisionally selected must present a copy of their birth certificate, which was issued by the relevant government entity.
- A candidate taking the selection test must enrolled in Class-V for the entire academic year in a government/government-aided or other recognized school, or in a ‘B’ certificate competency course offered by the National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district where he or she is seeking admission.
- Candidates who have not been promoted or accepted to class V by the 31st of July of the session in which they are applying for the selection test are ineligible to apply.
- A candidate must successfully complete Class V during the session in which he or she is applying for the selection test. Actual admittance to Class VI will subject to the previous conditions.
- In order to admitted to class VI, an applicant must have finished and passed classes III, IV, and V in a government-aided or recognized school, attending each for a full academic term.
- If they meet the age requirements, candidates who successfully complete the ‘B’ certificate competency course offered by the National Institute of Open Schooling by September 15th of the year in which they apply for the selection test will also able to write the admission test.
