ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR IN AISSEE 2025

Eligibility to Appear in AISSEE 2025 [Class VI | IX]. Check Age Limit Prior Filling Sainik School Admission Form 2025.

Eligibility For admission to Sainik Schools (OLD) in Class VI & IX

a) For admission to Class VI:

• A candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as on 31 March 2025 for admission to Class VI, i.e. he/she should have been born between 01 April 2013 and 31 March 2015 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2025-26.

• Admission for Girls is open for Class VI. Age criteria is same as boys.

b) For admission to Class IX:

• A candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31 March 2025, for admission to Class IX, i.e. he should have been born between 01 April 2010 and 31 March 2012 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2025-26.
• Admission to Class IX is open for girls.

• He should have passed Class VIII exam from a recoganized school at the time of admission

Eligibility For admission to approved New Sainik Schools:

Admission to approved New Sainik Schools in the Sainik School stream, for the academic year 2025-26 is only at the level of Class VI.

1. Eligibility requirements are as follows:

• A candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as on 31 March 2025 for admission to Class VI, i.e. he/she should have been born between 01 April 2012 and 31 March 2014 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2025-26.

• Admission for Girls is open for Class VI. Age criteria is same as boys.

• Candidates should be studying in one of the New Sainik Schools and must have passed/appearing in Class V as on 31.03.2025.

Candidates are advised to check the availability of seats for their specific category and gender from Appendix VI of the Information Bulletin carefully
