Josaa Counselling 2025

The JoSAA 2024 counselling registration is expected to start around June 18, 2025 (tentative). To register, candidates need to visit the official website, josaa.nic.in. Only those who have qualified JEE Main or JEE Advanced exams can take part in JoSAA counselling. The specific dates for JoSAA 2025 will be announced online soon. Students must complete registration and choose their preferences for seats to be considered for allocation and subsequent counselling rounds.

Additionally, JoSAA will publish cutoff scores after each counselling round on its website. There will be a total of six rounds of JoSAA 2025 counselling. Admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and IITs is managed through JoSAA counselling.

Steps for JoSAA 2025 Registration & Choice Filling:

1. Registration :

Visit the official JoSAA 2025 website.
Click on the registration link.
Enter JEE Main 2025 roll number and password.
JEE Advanced 2025 qualified candidates log in with their corresponding password.
Enter basic details and review them.

2. JoSAA Choice Filling :

After registration, fill in course and college choices from the available list.
Choices should be in order of preference based on eligibility.

3.  Choice Locking:

Lock selected choices as no changes will be accepted afterward.
Take a printout of locked choices for future reference.

JoSAA 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

No specific eligibility criteria for JoSAA 2024. Candidates must qualify JEE Main 2024 or JEE Advanced 2024. Candidates must also meet the criteria of the participating institutes.

JoSAA 2025 Key Event Dates :

5. Seat allotment results displayed on screen.
6. Download allotment letter and take printout.

After JoSAA Seat Allotment 2025 :

1. Candidates allotted seats based on JEE Main/JEE Advanced merit, preferences, category, and seat availability.
2. Allotted candidates download provisional allotment letter and pay Rs. 35,000 seat acceptance fee.
3. Document verification required at Reporting Centre (RC).

Options for Allotted Candidates :

1. Floating : Candidates accept allotted seat but open to upgradation to higher preferred institutes or courses.
2. Freezing : Candidates satisfied with allotted seat, opt out of further rounds of counselling.
3. Sliding : Candidates confirm allotment but open to admission into higher preferred course in same institute.

Post-Verification Process : After document verification, candidates report to allotted institutes to confirm admission. Required fee payment by candidates at allotted institutes.

JoSAA Reporting Centres 2025 :

1. Verification Process : Candidates required to physically report at JoSAA reporting centres for document verification. Original and photocopies of all required documents must be carried for verification.

2. Centre Categories : Different reporting centres available for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and IITs. Separate centres for NIT+ system (NITs, IIITs, GFTIs) and IITs.

Reporting Procedure : Candidates to report to centres corresponding to their allotted institutes. Completion of admission procedure required at allotted institute after verification.

Seat Allotment Changes : If seat allotment changes from NIT+ system to IITs or vice versa, candidates must report to the new institute. Failure to report will result in cancellation of allotted seat.
