Odisha government to start the Subhadra Yojana in all panchayats with grandeur

BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha government is getting ready to put on a spectacular display for the launch of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Subhadra Yojana on September 17.

The launch event would be streamed live in every panchayat, block, municipal corporation, and district, according to sources. On that day, women’s self-help groups will also host block-level conventions.

To screen the launch ceremony, the district headquarters and municipal corporations would receive Rs 20,000 each, and each block would receive Rs 5 lakh for the SHG convention. The sources further stated that an estimated Rs 40.21 crore will be spent on IEC purposes.

The idea is to create a picture wall named “Daughters of Odisha” and place it close to the launch location. Events like the Puri human chain and women’s self-help group meeting will be held around the state to raise awareness of the advantages of the program.
