Anna University Counselling Date 2025

The counselling process for Anna University in 2025 is conducted online. Admission 2025-26 for B.Tech / B.Arch :

ELIGIBILITY – GENERAL (B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Plan. / B.Arch.) for NRI :

• The candidate must hold foreign nationality.
• Valid documentation such as student visa, PIO, or OCI card is mandatory for admission.
• Proof of financial support, either through parent’s bank statements for the past six months or a scholarship offer letter from governmental or other agencies, must provided.
• Online registration is required starting from March 1, 2024, through the web portal cfa.annauniv.edu/cfa.
• A non-refundable application processing fee of US $ 400 (+18% GST) is applicable, payable through debit or credit card only. Transaction charges, if any, are the candidate’s responsibility.
• Upload the specified documents as listed in Annexure I.Candidates must have passed one of the following qualifying examinations:

a. Higher Secondary Certificate (XII Standard) or its equivalent.
b. Foreign Boards following the 8+4 type system.
c. Foreign Boards following the 9+3 type system.
d. The candidate should have passed all subjects and obtained a minimum average of 45% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry combined.

COUNSELLING GENERAL (B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Plan. / B.Arch.) for NRI :

1. After the publication of the Rank list, candidates will participate in Online Counselling based on their Merit order.
2. The Counselling Web Portal, where candidates can choose their preferred Institution/Branch of study, will accessible after the Merit List is published.
3. No communal reservation is applicable for allotment under FN/(LDC/SIDS).
4. During Online Counseling, candidates must pay $1,000/- online as an Initial deposit, which will adjusted against the Tuition Fee.
5. If an applicant declines the Tentative Allotment or is not allotted a Branch during Provisional Allotment, they are eligible for a 100% Refund of the Initial Deposit.
6. After provisional allotment, if an applicant does not join the allotted branch, they are eligible for an 80% Refund of the initial deposit.
7. Candidates eligible for a refund must apply through the Web Portal (cfa.annauniv.edu/cfa) within six months from the counselling date. Applications for refund submitted beyond six months will not considered.
8. Once seat allotment is completed, changing the Branch or Institution will not permitted.

B.E. / B.Tech. Part-Time Degree Programme :

Eligibility for Admission :

a) Qualification :

– Candidates must have passed the Qualifying Diploma Examination in Engineering/Technology in the relevant branch of specialisation.
– The diploma examination should conducted by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, or any other equivalent examination recognised by Anna University.

b) Year of Passing Diploma :
– Candidates should have passed the diploma examination in the relevant branch of specialisation at least two years before the last date prescribed for the Registration of Application.

c) Age Limit :
– There is no age limit for admission to the B.E./B.Tech. (Part-Time) Degree Programme.

d)  Employment :

– Current working professionals at the time of application with two years of work experience, or professionals with two years of work experience are eligible.
– Candidates should have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience (24 months) in a Registered firm/Industry/Educational Institutions/Government and Autonomous organizations in the relevant field.
– Only the experience gained after successfully passing the Diploma will considered.
– Periods of Training/Apprenticeship will not counted as experience.
– For current working professionals, the place of work should within a distance of 90 km from the college to which he/she seeks admission to enable regular attendance by 6:15 p.m. Further, the place of working should in Tamil Nadu.

Entrance Examination for Masters program :

Important Notes :

– Once a choice is made, it is final and cannot changed.
– Applicants declining after Tentative Allotment or those not allotted a Branch during Provisional Allotment will eligible for a 100% Refund of the Initial Deposit.
