The Department of Collegiate Karnataka announces numerous guest lecture positions each year. The needed qualifications will be the basis for selecting guest lecturers. Before being appointed to the positions, counseling will be completed. Hiring has already started for this school year. Qualification Required by the Guest Faculty:

According to UGC guidelines and University C&R rules, the following qualifications are required for the post of Guest Faculty:

  1. A strong academic record, as determined by the concerned university, comprising at least 55% of the possible points (or 50% for candidates who belong to the SC/ST categories), or an equivalent grade from any Indian university that uses grading systems at the Master’s degree level in a relevant subject, or an equivalent degree from a foreign university that has been accredited.
  2. In addition to meeting the requirements listed above, the candidate should have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) administered by the UGC, CSIR, or comparable exams approved by the UGC, such as SLET/SET.
  3. Candidates who are awarded a Ph.D. through the admission, registration, coursework, and external evaluation processes outlined in the UGC (Minimum Standards and procedures for the award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Regulations, 2022 and so adopted by the university, as well as holders of Ph.D. degrees as of the date of Notification of UGC Regulations, shall be exempt from NET/SLET/SET.
  4. Notable and distinguished applicants with a solid reputation for advancing and distributing Sanskrit knowledge.

Points to know

  1. Candidates must hold a Master’s or Doctorate in a relevant field in order to apply for the position of guest lecturer at that particular faculty.
  2. The requirements for qualification and other eligibility are in accordance with Karnataka Samskrit University’s hiring practices and the UGC Regulations 2018, which were released in the official Indian Gazette on July 18, 2018.
  3. Reservation guidelines will be adhered to in accordance with the directives periodically issued by the Government of Karnataka.
  4. The university retains the right to choose whether to fill any of the posted positions.
  5. The University is free to move any position within the faculty to another as needed.
  6. Late or incomplete applications won’t be taken into consideration.
  7. The University will have the authority to issue the order.
  8. Candidates will not receive TA or DA.
  9. All qualified applicants must show up in person for the interview with their original documentation.
  10. The University website will host the list of candidates who have been shortlisted.

Procedure to Apply for Guest Lecturer:

  1. Click the “Guest Lecturers Apply Online” tab after going to the official website.
  2.  Enter all necessary information in the online application form for the Department of Collegiate.
  3. Upload a recent photo (if available) and scanned copies of all required certificates and paperwork.
  4.  If there is an application charge, please submit the payment according to your category.
  5. Click the submit button after the application process is complete.
  6. Write down the application or request number so you can refer to it later.

How to Edit Application for Guest Faculty:

  1. Open the official website.
  2. Click on the link edit application.
  3. A new web page will open.
  4. Enter the application ID to retrieve the application.
  5. Your application is now open for editing.
  6. Make the relevant changes or the mistakes that were made at the time of filling in the information.
  7. After finishing click on the Submit button.

Consolidated Fixed Pay for Guest Faculty:

  1. 35,000/- Per month for individuals with a Ph.D., NET, SLET, or SET in addition to a master’s degree and less than five years of classroom experience.
  2. 31,000/-Per Month for individuals without a Ph.D., NET, SLET, or SET with a master’s degree and less than five years of classroom experience.
  3. 38,000/-Per month for applicants with a Ph.D., NET, SLET, or SET in addition to a Master’s degree and five to ten years of classroom experience.
  4. 34000/-Per month for individuals with a Master’s degree and up to ten years of teaching experience but without a Ph.D., NET, SLFT, or SFT degree.
  5. 19000/-Per month for candidates with a Ph.D., NET, SLET, or SET in addition to a master’s degree and ten to fifteen years of classroom experience
  6. 15000/-per month for individuals with a master’s degree and 10–15 years of teaching experience but without a Ph.D., NET, SLET, or SET
  7. Candidates with a Ph.D., NET, SLET, or SET in addition to a master’s degree and more than 15 years of teaching experience may be paid $40000 per month.
  8. 36000/-Per month for candidates with a master’s degree and more than 15 years of teaching experience but without a Ph.D., NET, SLET, or SET

Choosing Standards:

Only previous experience as a part-time employee or guest professor at Karnataka Government First Grade Colleges will be considered.

Responsibility:

• Candidates chosen by merit list or counseling must report to the college to which they have been assigned within three days of the announcement.
• Guest lecturers are not permitted to work at other schools or institutions.

• Guest lecturers who report to duty after workload changes or increases in the middle of the academic year shall be released on the last academic day, in accordance with the 2024–25 academic schedule, without the 10-month extension. A full-time workload of fifteen or nineteen hours is assigned to them.
