With the release of the application form by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on their official website, natboard.edu.in, the FMGE 2025 registration process commenced on April 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM. Candidates must complete their registration by May 17, 2025 who wish to appear for the June session of FMGE .

The registration process includes academic and internship information, personal details, uploading necessary documents, and payment of the non-refundable application fee. Candidates who complete all the steps accurately are issued admit cards.

For candidates to correct deficiencies and upload missing documents such as proof of citizenship and primary medical qualifications. The FMGE exam for June 2025 is scheduled for July 26, 2025; an edit window will be available post-registration. For eligibility for the exams, candidates must meet all eligibility requirements and submit their applications by May 17, 2025.   Applicants must ensure they meet the FMGE eligibility criteria, before filling out the application.

Step-by-Step Guide to Fill the Application Form Online

• Visit the official website natboard.edu.in or use the given direct link.

• Start New Registration by going to the links section, clicking on “FMGE,” and selecting “New Registration.”

• Read the instructions carefully and click “Close” to proceed.

• Fill in your registration details :

  • Candidate’s Name (enter twice)

  • Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)

  • Gender (Male/Female/Transgender)

  • Nationality (Indian/Others)

  • Mobile Number

  • Alternate Mobile Number

  • Email ID (enter twice)

  • Captcha Verification

• User ID and password are sent to your registered email.

• Using the credentials provided in the email, log in again.

• Enter the Application Form Details :

  • Personal Information (Father’s and Mother’s Name)

  • Identification Details

  • Communication Address

  • Qualification Details like 10+2/equivalent, BDS/Primary Dental Qualification

• As per the specifications, upload all the scanned copies of the required documents 

• Using available payment methods, pay the application fee of INR 6,195 (INR 5,200 + 18% GST) .

FMGE 2025: Documents Required

Candidates must upload specific documents to complete the FMGE 2025 registration. These documents include a recent photograph, signature, and thumb impression, meeting the following specifications :

• Photograph:

  • Color photo, with a white background

  • Picture taken within the last 6 months

  • Written at the bottom, candidate’s name and date 

  • Photo Dimensions: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm

• Signature:

  • No capital letters or overwriting on a white paper using a black/blue pen.

  • Signature Dimensions: 6 cm x 3 cm

• Thumb Impression:

  • Without borders, a clear and recent thumb impression on a white background.

• Specifications:

  • Accepted Formats: .jpg or .jpeg

  • File Size: Up to 80 KB

  • Resolution: 200 dpi

FMGE 2025: Eligibility Criteria

To appear for the FMGE 2025 exam, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements :

Educational Qualification

• From a recognized institution outside India, the candidate must have completed their primary medical qualification. 

• Medical degrees which are xempt from the FMGE requirement for registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) are from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the United States of America (USA), and the United Kingdom (UK).

• Maintained by the World Health Organization (WHO), the medical degree must be listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.

Citizenship

• An Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or an Indian citizen.

Additional Requirements

• By providing relevant documents, candidates must submit proof of their medical qualification, such as 

  • Degree certificates

  • Issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the National Medical Commission (NMC), eligibility certificates.

Attempts Allowed

• To appear for the FMGE exam there is no limit on the number of attempts a candidate can make.

FMGE 2025: Subject Weightage Breakdown

To assess a candidate’s readiness to handle practical, hands-on situations in the medical field, the exam emphasizes Clinical subjects. While essential, are foundational and therefore carry lesser weight in the overall assessment, Pre-Clinical and Para-Clinical subjects.

FMGE 2025: Application Correction Window

The FMGE 2025 registration process includes an opportunity for candidates. The correction window usually lasts for 4 days. Four days after the submission deadline. During this period candidates can edit their application details and upload missing documents. A final edit window will be provided for any last-minute changes, after this period.

FMGE 2025 Exam Pattern :

The FMGE 2025 exam will be conducted in an online (computer-based test, CBT) mode. The candidates will need to achieve at least 50% of the total marks to qualify, and the exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Lasting a total of 5 hours.
