Hbtu Counselling 2025

Admission at Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur is for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, each with its different eligibility criteria. For undergraduate programs, admission is primarily based on merit, supplemented by a valid JEE Main score. Meanwhile, postgraduate admissions at HBTU Kanpur is based on entrance exams such as CAT, JAM, or NIMCET. As for Ph.D. admissions, candidates’ performance in the qualifying examination and subsequent interview play an important role. Once selected, final admission at Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur is based upon document verification and payment of the requisite admission fee.

Admission Process for B.Tech at HBTU, Kanpur :

There are essentially two ways to get admissions into HBTU Kanpur. Both the ways are mentioned below :

Way 1 :

• Meet HBTU Kanpur B.Tech eligibility criteria.
• Qualify the JEE Mains exam.
• Attend Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) if meeting the cutoff.
• Shortlisting based on JEE Main performance and participation in counselling.
• Select HBTU Kanpur as preference and submit required documents.
• Confirm admission by paying HBTU Kanpur B.Tech fees.

Way 2 :

• Meet HBTU Kanpur B.Tech eligibility criteria.
• Qualify the UPCET exam.
• Attend Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) if meeting the cutoff.
• Shortlisting based on UPCET performance and participation in counselling.
• Select HBTU Kanpur as preference and submit required documents.
• Confirm admission by paying HBTU Kanpur B.Tech fees.

Offline Counselling Procedure at HBTU :

a. Register on erp.hbtu.co.in.

b. Pay the Online Registration Fee of Rs. 2500=00 (non-refundable) between August 25 and August 31, 2024 (tentative), until 11:59 pm .

c. Candidates who have already paid the registration fee during the first offline counselling do not need to pay again but must register and submit the old fee receipt.

d. Arrive at HBTU, Kanpur, at 9:00 AM on September 02, 2023, as suggested. Follow all instructions provided on page no. 6.

e. Bring all listed documents in original and one set of self-attested photocopies for verification during Offline Counselling (refer to Page 7).

f. In case of Seat allotment and subsequent Document Verification, submit the full Academic Fee of Rs. 1,35,000/- through Cash or Demand Draft in favor of Finance Controller, HBTU, Kanpur, payable at Kanpur, at the specified counter in the University premises.

g. Deposition of Full Academic Fee of Rs. 1,35,000=00 after seat allotment on September 02, 2023, is mandatory, and there will be no relaxation.

Key events of HBTU Counselling 2025 :

1. Reporting at Radhakrishnan Auditorium on September 2, 2025 (tentative), at 9:00 am. No participation in counselling will be allowed after 12:00 Noon.
2. Candidates must mark their attendance, collect a token, and obtain a file for document submission at the Auditorium.
3. Proceed to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering for Document Verification.
4. Seat allotment will commence from 2:00 pm onwards in Radhakrishnan Auditorium after successful Document Verification.
5. Candidates must be present in person for seat allotment. No seat will be allotted in the absence of candidates.
6. Full academic fee of Rs. 1,35,000=00 must be deposited at the time of Seat Allotment either by Demand Draft (DD) in favor of Finance Controller, HBTU Kanpur, payable at Kanpur, or by cash deposition at the counter.
7. Late reporting candidates will be considered for available seats at the time of their reporting.
8. The physical presence of the candidate is mandatory.
