IPU Counselling 2025 :
Candidates who appeared for JEE Main 2025 can complete their registration and choice-filling process for IPU CET counselling 2025 before the deadline. This process is facilitated through the official website, ipu.admissions.nic.in. The deadline for submitting online application forms to various programs, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs, for the academic session 2025-2026 has been extended. The new deadline is April 15, 2025 (tentative), at 11:59 pm.
Candidates who meet the requirements are expected to receive communication in June/July to commence the IPU CET counselling process. This counselling session is conducted for admission to various courses offered through the IPU CET 2025 exam. The exam covers degrees like Biotechnology B. Tech, Lateral Entry to B.Tech for Diploma holders, and Lateral Entry to B.Tech for BSc Graduates, among others. However, admission to B. Tech programs at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is primarily based on JEE Main scores.

IPU CET New Update 2025 :
The deadline for submitting online application forms to various programs, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs, for the academic session 2025-2026 has been extended. The new deadline is April 15, 2025, at 11:59 pm.
IPU CET Admit Card 2025 :
The IPU CET 2025 admit card is expected to be released tentatively in April 2025 by GGSIPU. The download link for the admit card will be activated by the authority at least 7 days prior to the start of the IPU CET 2025 exam. Candidates who have successfully submitted their application for IPU CET 2025 will be able to download the admit card using their login credentials, which include the application number and date of birth. This admit card is necessary for candidates to appear for the IPU CET examination.
IPU Counselling Procedure 2025 :
Registration :
- Provide JEE Main 2025 roll number, name, date of birth, result status, and visual code.
- Enter academic, personal, and contact details.
- Receive login ID and password upon successful registration.
Application Form and Document Upload : Log in with provided credentials. Fill in personal, contact, and qualification details.
Counselling Fee Submission:
- To participate in the IPU CET counselling 2024, candidates are required to pay an IPU CET registration fee of INR 500 along with a counselling participation fee of INR 1000 before the specified deadline.
- Pay non-refundable counselling fees online or offline (challan through Indian Bank). Payment methods: credit/debit card, net banking. Download payment receipt for future reference.

Course Choices Selection :
- Login to the portal and select courses and institutions in order of preference.
- Choose maximum number of choices to increase chances of getting desired course.
- Take a printout of choices after selection.
Seat Allotment:
- Seats allotted based on merit and choices entered.
- Access seat allotment through individual accounts.
- Download provisional seat allotment letter if allotted.
- Pay partial academic fee of Rs. 40,000 to confirm allotted seat.
Options for Unsatisfied Candidates :
- Freeze allotted seat if satisfied and do not wish to participate in subsequent rounds.
- Opt for withdrawal and fee refund if wishing to withdraw from allotted seat.
- Consider sliding of allotted seat after the last round if desired.

Procedure for Admission to Ph.D. Programmes :
Admission through Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) :
Conducted online/offline by the University or designated agency.
Candidates exempted if qualified in UGC-NET / UGC-CSIR NET / GATE / CEED.
Reservation as per State Reservation Policy.
Entrance Test syllabus: 50% research methodology, 50% subject-specific.
Qualifying cut-off: 50%, with 5% relaxation for certain categories.
Interview/viva-voce to discuss research interest/area.

Considers candidate’s knowledge, aptitude, and proposed research plan.
