In an effort to recognize India’s hidden heroes, the Government of India has launched Veergatha 4.0 Registration 2024, encouraging children in grades 3 through 12 to take part. This initiative, which is a component of the Gallantry Awards Portal, seeks to honor the valiant efforts of people who frequently go unacknowledged. The deadline for participation, conducting activities at the school level, and submitting entries on the portal has been extended to October 21, 2024.

Through a variety of artistic mediums, including essays, poems, and paintings, Veergatha 4.0 promotes awareness, creativity, and patriotism in young people.The project, which was started by the Ministry of Defense in association with the Ministry of Education, is centered on multidisciplinary and artistically integrated activities, such as written submissions and multimedia presentations.

To encourage as many states and UTs as possible to participate, the Defence Ministry intends to set up both inperson and online awareness campaigns. Veer Gatha Project 4.0 Registration 2024 :

Participation Guidelines :

1. Eligibility: Students interested in joining must do so through their schools.

2. Notification: The Ministry of Education will send out the Veer Gatha 4.0 announcement to State and UT Education Departments and other school boards.

3. School Responsibilities: Schools will hold activities, review the entries, and choose one top entry for each category to submit.

Evaluation Process :

Entries will be judged by :

• State Level Nodal Officers
• A national evaluation committee organized by the Ministry of Education.

Category 1: For students in Class 3 to 5

• Submission Types: Poem or Paragraph (150 words) / Painting or Drawing

Category 2: For students in Class 6 to 8

• Submission Types: Poem or Paragraph (300 words) / Painting or Drawing / Multimedia Presentation

3rd Category : For students in Class 9 to 10

• Submission Types: Poem or Essay (750 words) / Painting or Drawing / Multimedia Presentation

Category 4: For students in Class 11 to 12

• Submission Types: Poem or Essay (1000 words) / Painting or Drawing / Multimedia Presentation

Project Timeline and Evaluation :

• 17 September – 21 October 2024: Schools submit their best entry per category (total of 4 entries) through the MyGov portal.
• 22 October – 10 November 2024: District Nodal Officers will evaluate the entries.
• 12 November – 30 November 2024: State-level evaluation and submission to the national level.
• 4 December – 24 December 2024: National-level evaluation, with results sent to the Ministry of Education by 27 December 2024.

Eligibility for Veer Gatha 4.0 Drawing Participation :

Citizenship: Participants must be Indian citizens.

Student Eligibility: Open to students from classes 3 to 12, divided into four categories.

Originality: All submitted works must be original.

National Level :

• Total Winners: 100 (Super 100)
• Inclusion: Past winners from earlier Veer Gatha contests cannot enter.
• Distribution: 25 winners will be chosen from each of the four categories.

State/UT Level:

• Total Winners: 8 (across all boards)
• Distribution: 2 winners will be selected from each of the four categories.

District Level:

• Total Winners: 4 (excluding Super 100 and State/UT winners)
• Distribution: 1 winner will be chosen from each of the four categories.

Felicitation of Winners: National Level Winners:

• Winners will be honored together by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
