What is POLYCET?

• POLYCET is a common entrance examination organiSed by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Mangalagiri. It facilitates admission into Diploma level programs offered by Government, Aided, Private, Un-aided Polytechnics, and Second Shift polytechnics operating in existing Private un-aided Engineering Colleges.

Key Points of POLYCET-2024:

AP Polycet 2024 Online Application Form :

1. Visit the official website apsbtet.ap.gov.in and click on the ‘AP Polycet Apply online’ link.

2. Enter basic details like name and mobile number to register for AP Polycet 2024.

• 10th Class Hall ticket No., Year of pass, and Date of Birth.
• Name as per school records, leaving a gap between parts of the name.
• Father’s name.
• Date of birth in DD MM YYYY format.
• Address details (House Number, Village/Street, Mandal/Town/City, District, PIN code, mobile number).
• Preferred examination centre.
• Area code for Andhra Pradesh residency.
• Reservation category (BC/SC/ST).
• Special category, if applicable (CAP/SP/PH/NCC).
• Minority community details, if applicable.
• Willingness to appear for the examination in Urdu medium (only available at Guntur and Nandyal centers).

Eligibility Criteria for AP Polycet 2024 :

• The candidate must be an Indian National.
• They should be a resident of the State of Andhra Pradesh as per the guidelines mentioned in G.O.(P).No. 646, Education (w) Dept., dated 10-07-1979, and its subsequent amendments.
• Candidates must have passed the S.S.C. Examination conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana, or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P / TS. This includes examinations conducted by CBSE, ICSE, NIOS, APOSS, and other State Boards, with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
• Candidates from NIOS / APOSS / other recognized examinations must have passed all subjects, including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, with a minimum of 35% marks in each subject.
• Students appearing for the SSC or equivalent examination in March-2024, with pending results, are also eligible to appear for POLYCET-2024.
  There is no age restriction for appearing in POLYCET-2024. However, the maximum age limit for obtaining a scholarship is determined as per the guidelines issued by the Social Welfare (Edn.) Department.
• Merely obtaining a merit rank in POLYCET-2024 does not guarantee admission unless the candidate full-fills all the admission requirements.

The syllabus for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in POLYCET-2024 aligns with the curriculum specified for the March-2024 SSC Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh.

Structure of the question paper:
